The interior of Darmstadt`s oldest German-run establishment (since 1795) is in itself enough to make it a jewel that unites the generations. The Bockshaut was founded in 1580 as a tannery. Its guild coat of arms, a goatskin, was chosen in 1795 as the name for the winery and restaurant that replaced the tannery. Of course Hotel Bockshaut`s extremely considerate service encompasses individual needs.
